Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective October 5, 2026
Skieztheday is operated by Thresh Lab, a sole proprietorship of Douglas Styler, Franklin, Tennessee ("Thresh Lab", "we", "us").
Privacy questions and requests: support@skieztheday.com
This policy describes what Skieztheday does today. If we start collecting something new, we update this policy before or when the change ships.
1. What we collect
Account. Your email address and the sign-in data held by our authentication provider. If you sign up with email, that includes a password, which we never see in readable form. If you sign in with Google, Google shares these details with our authentication provider: your name, email address, profile picture link, Google account identifier, and whether Google has verified your email address.
Profile. Your home airport, which is required to price trips, and optionally the ski passes you hold and your preferred regions.
Plans and saved trips. The trip dates, candidate resorts, region and lodging preferences in each plan, the prices shown when you saved it, and trips you keep in the Trip Locker (resort, lodging, dates and total cost).
Booking clicks. When you follow a booking link, we record which link, the page it was on, the resort, your origin airport, the trip dates, the price shown and the time. If you are signed in, the record is linked to your account. If you are not, it is not linked to anyone.
Support. What you send us through the feedback form or by email, including any screenshot or file you attach.
Technical. IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and timestamps, in server logs kept by our hosting provider.
Cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in, and one short-lived cookie (30 minutes) that remembers an airport you pick while signed in, so it can be filled into your profile if you have not saved one. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
No payment data. Skieztheday is free. We collect no card or bank details of any kind.
We do not collect precise location, biometric data or government identifiers. Airports you choose (your home airport, and the origin airport of a booking click) are the only location information we hold, and we use them only to price and route trips.
2. How we use it
- To run the service: hold your account, profile and plans, and show scores, typical snow and prices for the trips you plan.
- To keep it working and secure: authentication, abuse prevention, debugging and backups.
- To talk to you: sign-in and account emails, and replies to what you send us.
- To improve the product, using aggregated or de-identified information, including counts of booking clicks.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for anyone's advertising. We use no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
3. AI and your data
Skieztheday does not use artificial intelligence to score resorts or price trips. When you send us a support request, an AI model from Anthropic reads its text (your description, the page you were on and your browser type) to sort it so we can respond. Anthropic does not receive your name, your email address or any screenshot.
4. Who receives your data
| Provider | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Supabase | your sign-in identity (email, password hash, sessions, and Google profile details if you use Google) and the database holding everything in section 1 |
| Vercel | hosting — request traffic, IP addresses and server logs |
| Resend | your email address, to send sign-in and account emails and replies to your support requests, and the text and attachments of emails you send in reply |
| GitHub (owned by Microsoft) | stores the text of support requests you send us: your description, the page you were on and your browser type, so we can track and fix problems. GitHub does not receive your name, your email address or any screenshot |
| Anthropic | the text of support requests (your description, the page you were on and your browser type), to sort them. Never your name, email address or any screenshot |
| SerpApi | flight and hotel price searches: airport codes, dates, and a resort name and state. Never your name, email or any account identifier |
Public weather and snow data sources (the National Weather Service, the Natural Resources Conservation Service snow telemetry network, and the NOAA Climate Prediction Center) receive requests about resorts and weather only. They receive no information about you. When the National Weather Service does not respond, we use OpenWeatherMap, a commercial weather service, as a backup. It receives map coordinates for a ski area only, never information about you.
When you follow a booking link, you leave Skieztheday. The site you arrive at receives the trip details in the link (such as airports, dates or resort) and handles your visit under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose personal information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of any person, or to a successor in a sale or transfer of the business or the product, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your account, profile and plans while your account is active. Support requests are kept while your account is active and deleted with it.
To delete your account, email support@skieztheday.com from your account email and ask. We confirm by reply and complete the deletion within thirty (30) days. This is a manual process handled by the Founder.
Deletion removes your account, profile, plans and saved trips from our active systems. Booking-click records are kept, with every link to your account and your plans removed. Records we must keep for legal or security reasons are kept. Backups roll off on our providers' schedules. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its standard retention period.
6. Your choices
- See and change your data. You can edit your profile and plans in the product. For anything else, contact us.
- Delete your account. As described in section 5.
- State privacy rights. Residents of US states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including access, deletion, correction, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising. To exercise a right, contact us; we verify the request through your account email and respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.
7. Security
We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, encrypted storage by our providers, and least-privilege access for the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Children
Skieztheday is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Where your data is processed
Skieztheday is offered to residents of the United States, and your data is processed in the United States by us and our providers. If you use it from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We post the new version with its effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the product or by email at least fourteen (14) days before it takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.
